A safe harbor

Every body needs a safe harbor to call its own. That harbor may be different for every one of us. It can be a place or a person or a state of mind you like to make your own.

A safe harbor is something special. A place you want to keep sacred and private. It's a place you can turn to, when things are getting hectic or scary or uncomfortable. It's also a place without fears, without borders. It's a place where you can be whoever you are, without the fear of being laughed at. It's like coming home, but more intense.

We should all have a safe harbor. It must be a comforting thought to know that you have a place or a person you feel completely safe with. Someone you can trust your deepest secrets to. Someone who will not judge you or ridicule you for your innermost thoughts. Doesn't matter if it's a place or a person: your safe harbor is whatever you feel comfortable with..
